Brandon Van Soest, a PhD candidate working with Dr. Trevor DeVries, has been awarded the Dairy Farmers of Ontario (DFO) doctoral scholarship. Valued at $105,000 over 3 years, the scholarship will support Von Soest while he is carrying out research into the nutritional management of robot-milked cows. ABSc would like to extend a warm welcome to Stephanie Kears, our newest staff colleague in the admin team. Stephanie graduated at the University of Waterloo and had a number of very successful co-op terms, including some in an university environment at UofWaterloo. She also worked outside the university. With the experience and skills that she has accumulated in her previous roles, with her positive attitude, initiative and very good work ethics, she will be a great addition to our team.
