Dr. Christine Baes was recently featured by Farm and Food Care Ontario where she discussed the importance of genomics research in Canadian agriculture.

Dr. Michael Steele and his research team will contribute to the Dairy Alliance, a new U of G led-initiative bringing together experts across OAC and OVC to improve the quality of Canadian dairy products.

An Undergraduate Research Assistant (URA) position is available for Summer 2022 in the Huyben lab. The successful candidate will help in the re-design of the Aquaculture Centre website and also gain hands-on experience in conducting fish nutrition and microbiome experiments on campus and at the Alma Aquaculture Research Station.

Prof. Christine Baes has been awarded a prestigous Minister's Award of Excellence in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Presented by Minister of Colleges and Universities Jill Dunlop, the award recognizes Baes outstanding contributions to the long-term and sustainable genetic improvement of livestock. 

OAC has released it's first-ever Graduate Studies Digital Viewbook which showcases all of the outstanding graduate programs offered within the College. Information related to Animal Biosciences MSc and PhD programs can be found on page 17, including a spotlight on recent M.Sc graduate Natalie Asaro who is now a Nutrition Manager at Petcurean Pet Nutrition.
