We are happy to have Dr. Aaron Shafer, from Trent University, presenting for us on Friday, December 12th, 2025. The seminar will begin at 1:30 PM EDT/EST on the virtual platform Microsoft Teams. The presentation title is: “A [genomic] history of deer”
Speaker Biography: Aaron Shafer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Forensic Science, Environmental and Life Sciences, and in the Applied Modeling and Quantitative Methods Graduate Programs. His research group uses molecular tools to reconstruct demographic events and to identify the molecular mechanisms underlying phenotypic variation. He is also interested in applying genomic methods to conservation and legal issues and serves as an Associate Editor for Conservation Genetics.
