Pumpkin Carving Competition

It's time to celebrate the spookiest month of the year again... The Grad Student Council is hosting the Annual Pumpkin Carving Competition on October 30th!  Each year, teams work together to carve their own pumpkin which will be displayed and voted for by department members! This event always brings department members together to have fun, be creative, and join in on some friendly competition!

Cyber Security Awareness Roadshow

We are getting ready for our fifth annual Cyber Security Awareness Roadshow, which is taking place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29 in the UC Courtyard. The intent of this event is to build awareness about the many threats facing our students, staff, and faculty, and provide them with simple strategies to mitigate those risks. Dr. Nienke van Staaveren, a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Animal Biosciences, will present a CGIL Seminar on Friday, October 25th. The seminar will begin at 1:30 PM in room 141 of the Animal Science & Nutrition building.

ABSc and OVC Graduate Student Information Night

Undergraduate students are interested in learning more about future programs, including MSc and PhD programs at ABSc and OVC program! A casual social will be held on Thurs. Oct 17th at 6:00 pm (room 141) open to undergraduates, graduate, and OVC students. With complimentary Subway and Hospitality catering! Note: There will be a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) session in a casual conversation setting, no presentations needed!
