I am a fourth-year Bachelor of Science student majoring in Animal Biology, with a strong academic and practical foundation in animal health, welfare, and veterinary science.

In addition to my clinical work, I have gained hands-on research experience as a research intern with Dr. Ribeiro at the Elora Dairy Research Station. My role involves supporting research on dairy cow health and welfare through biological sample collection, laboratory sample processing, and welfare assessments. I perform venipuncture, assist with disease identification, and evaluate injury status, hygiene, and body condition. This work contributes to herd health monitoring, informed management decisions, and the collection of reliable research data.

Outside of my academic and research commitments, I currently work at a small animal veterinary clinic as a veterinary assistant, receptionist, and kennel attendant. In these roles, I support daily clinical operations, assist with animal handling and care, and communicate with clients in a professional setting. This experience has strengthened my clinical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced veterinary environment. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my dog Archie and cat Gabby, and I am actively involved with horses through both riding and work. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to animal care and deepened my understanding of the human–animal bond across species.

My goal is to pursue a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and practice mixed-animal veterinary medicine, with a particular interest in both small and large animal care. I am motivated to contribute to animal health and welfare through compassionate, evidence-based veterinary practice.
