Animal Biosciences Graduate Students,

A study by researchers from the Centre for Genetic Improvement of Livestock (CGIL), a Centre of Excellence within Animal Biosciences, has been recognized as one of the most highly cited papers published in the Journal of Dairy Science over the past three years.

We are recruiting U of G employees and students as participants for an in-home consumer evaluation of pork chops from pigs that differ in carcass fatness. Participants will be provided with a bag of pork chops that they will receive once they have submitted a signed consent form.

ABSc is pleased to welcome our new Account Clerk in the main office, Karine Semina. Karine has a certificate in Finance and Accounting from MIT and Conestoga College. Previously, she has worked in accounting & financial roles at the Bank of America Securities in Boston and MIT.

ACB OVs are in charge of facilitating the University 100 series of O-Week events, along with facilitating some O-Week events held by college governments and JAM sessions. ACB teams will be split up by college as much as possible to make this process as simple as possible.

As part of their new Hambassador program, Ontario Pork is looking to fill more than 70 Pig Mobile shifts from August 19 to September 5, at the Canadian National Exhibition – their largest single outreach event of the year.
