We are happy to have Dr. Arielly O. Garcia, from the University of Georgia presenting for us on Friday, February 13th, 2026. The seminar will begin at 1:30 PM EDT/EST on the virtual platform Microsoft Teams. The presentation title is: “Genetic background of calving ease in beef-on-dairy” 
 
Speaker Biography:  Arielly O. Garcia is an Animal Scientist with a Master’s and PhD in Animal Breeding and Genetics from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), Brazil. She is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Georgia. Her research focuses on quantitative and genomic analyses in livestock breeding programs, with experience in cattle and swine. Her work includes population structure analyses using genomic data, pedigree reconstruction, genetic parameter estimation, genome-wide association studies (GWAS), and the integration of phenotypic and genomic information to support selection decisions.
