Unfortunately, Dr. Albert De Vries will not be able to present this Friday due to the imminent storm in the US. We updated our seminar and Gabriella Dodd will give a presentation this Friday September 30th, 2022. The seminar will begin at 1:30 PM EDT/EST on the virtual platform Microsoft Teams. The title of the presentation is: "Implementation of Two Trait Analysis for Heat Stress In Swine".

Speaker Biography: Ella Dodd is a current Ph.D. student at the University of Guelph working under the advisement of Dr. Christine Baes. She received a dual degree in Animal Science and Applied Mathematics from the University of Connecticut in May 2020. Ella completed her Master’s in May 2022 at the University of Connecticut focusing on Quantitative Genetics and Animal Breeding under Dr. Breno Fragomeni. Her Master’s research focused on genotype by environment interaction and heat stress in swine. Ella’s current research interests are fertility traits, sustainability, and mitigating environmental impacts on livestock.
