Are you interested in joining the Department of Animal Biosciences Student Council? We are looking for motivated and passionate students to join our team! Being a part of the ABSc GSC provides you the opportunity to become more involved in the department, plan and participate in fun department activities, and meet and collaborate with your fellow graduate students!!
Below you will find a list of available positions on the ABSc GSC and a short description of their responsibilities.
SOCIAL COMMITTEE REP
- Attend monthly ABSc GSC meetings and Social Committee meetings
- Help assist in logistics of department activities
- Attend Social Committee Department events
- Communicate status and recaps of the events to ABSc GSC committee
- Take and distribute meeting minutes for Social Committee
- Attend monthly ABSc GSC meetings
- Advertise clothing sales
- Track and process department clothing orders and communicate updates on order status
- Attend monthly ABSc GSC meetings
- Co-ordinate monthly meetings
- Create and distribute meeting agendas
- Take and distribute meeting minutes
- Manage tracking files
- Attend monthly ABSc GSC meetings
- Manage ABSc GSC social media accounts
- Communicate important information to graduate students
- Attend monthly ABSc GSC meetings and research committee meetings
- Communicate meeting minutes of research committee meetings to the ABSc GSC
- Take and distribute meeting minutes for research committee
- Attend monthly council meetings and events meetings
- Help to i) brainstorm potential ABSc GSC activities and events; ii) plan logistics of potential activities
- Coordinate, organize, and lead upcoming events with other ABSC GSC event coordinators
- Attend ABSC GSC Department events
- Communicate status and recaps of the events to ABSC GSC committee
