ABSc GSC Executive Positions OPEN!!

Greetings Animal Biosciences Graduate Students!

Are YOU interested in getting involved in the Department, meeting other grad students, planning, and participating in fun Department activities!? The ABSC GSC is looking for motivated individuals to join Council for the following positions:

  1. Secretary
  2. Treasurer
  3. Social Committee Rep

If you're motivated and interested in ANY of the available positions on the ABSC GSC then please:

  1. fill in the application 
  2. email the application to abscgsc@uoguelph.ca
  3. use the subject line "ABSC GSC Position"

Application Deadline: FRIDAY JUNE 24th

See below for a short description of the responsibilities involved in each position.

SECRETARY responsibilities:

  • Attend monthly ABSC GSC meetings
  • Co-ordinate monthly meetings 
  • Create and distribute meeting agendas 
  • Take and distribute meeting minutes 
  • Manage tracking files

TREASURER responsibilities:

  • Managing ABSC GSC financing
  • Preparing year end summaries of costs/events
  • Submitting funding requests

SOCIAL COMMITTEE REP responsibilities:

  • Attend monthly ABSc GSC meetings and Social Committee meetings
  • Help assist in logistics of department activities
  • Attend Social Committee Department events
  • Communicate status and recaps of the events to ABSC GSC committee
  • Take and distribute meeting minutes for Social Committee
