Aquaculture Start-Up Competing in Global Aquaculture Challenge

Wittaya Aqua, a start-up company co-founded by ABSc Prof. Dominique Bureau, has been selected from over 120 applicants as 1 of 8 finalists for the Global Aquaculture Challenge 2021. Based on mathematical models developed by Bureau's research group, the Canadian smart-farming company provides software solutions for aquaculture farm and feed management and employs several former graduate students. The finalists will make their pitches on Oct 7. with the winner obtaining access to an accelerator program and the opportunity to present at the Animal AgTech Innovation Summit held Oct 19-20th.
