Prof. Tina Widowski Named Research Leadership Chair

ABSc Prof. Tina Widowski was among 13 UofG faculty recently awarded a Research Leadership Chair (RLC). The RLC program was initiated by the Univeristy in 2017 to "recognize research excellence of mid- to late-career-stage faculty who have proven records of distinguished and sustained scholarly work."

Dr. Widowski is an internationally recognized animal welfare scientist who has made significant contributions to the development of farm animal care guidelines including the Canadian codes of practice for swine and poultry producers. She is currently the Egg Farmers of Canada Research Chair in Poultry Welfare and has previously served as the director of the internationally recognized Campbell Centre for the Study of Animal Welfare (CCSAW).
