One Health at the University of Guelph

Posted on Tuesday, October 27th, 2020

Are you interested in the complex health challenges facing society? Do you have a passion for animal, human, and environmental health? One Health recognizes that we can improve life by understanding that the health of animals, humans, and the environment depend on one another. It aims to create solutions that improve health in all three areas and not just one. These types of solutions require people across a variety of sectors and fields to work together.

There are two seminars left in our Fall 2020 One Health Seminar Series! Our series has featured a great lineup of speakers from across disciplines. It is an excellent opportunity to learn more about One Health in a variety of fields both within the University of Guelph and beyond.

Our next seminar on November 4th (12:30-1:20PM EDT) will feature Dr. Jennifer Provencher, Research Scientist in the Ecotoxicology and Wildlife Health Division at Environment and Climate Change Canada, who will be discussing “Plastic Pollution and Wildlife Health”. You can join this Teams Live event simply by clicking: https://uoguel.ph/onehealthseminar4

Everyone is welcome!
