This week we are happy to have Dr. Brion Maher, a Professor at Johns Hopkins University, presenting for us on Friday, April 5th, 2024. The seminar will begin at 1:30 PM EDT/EST on the virtual platform Microsoft Teams. The presentation title is: “Genetics and Epigenetics Applied to Substance Use Disorders in Humans”.
Speaker Biography: Brion S. Maher, PhD is a Professor and Co-Director of the NIDA Epidemiology Training Program in the Department of Mental Health in the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He received a PhD in Human Genetics from the University of Pittsburgh and specializes in quantitative genetics. His research focuses on the genetic risk for and epigenetic correlates of complex human diseases, including psychiatric and substance use disorders.
