A dedicated animal nutritionist with a Masters degree in animal nutrition and feed science and a Bachelors degree in Agriculture (Animal Science major) from the University of Nairobi. Masters research focused on evaluating dry matter yields and silage quality of six sweet potato varieties to support researchers and farmers in selecting the best varieties for livestock feeding, ensuring economic efficiency and sustainability.
Currently pursuing a PhD under the mentorship of Prof. Elijah Kiarie on exploring the long-term effects of dietary energy substrate manipulation through fiber-degrading enzymes and phenolic antioxidant supplementation on egg production, egg quality, nutrient digestion, metabolism, and liver health in aging laying hens.
Driven by a passion for improving animal health and productivity through evidence-based nutrition strategies, with career goals that include staying updated on industry advancements, developing tailored nutrition programs, and promoting sustainable, regulation-compliant feeding practices.
