About:
During employment as a research assistant in Dr. Pearson’s lab, as well as her MSc work, Lola aided in research focusing on the use of nutraceuticals to mitigate osteoarthritis in horses, the effects of exercise and dietary restriction on obese horses, as well as research concerning gastric ulceration in horses. She also worked part-time as a Research Program Coordinator in the Office of Research, Agri-Food Partnership; gaining experience in the submission, reviewing, and funding processes of research proposals. Lola’s scientific interests are geared towards animal nutrition and sustainable agricultural practices. Any free time Lola has is usually spent on her family farm.
