Florence is driven by a commitment to evidence-based innovation in animal nutrition, with the ultimate goal of contributing to global food security while safeguarding environmental and public health. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Health and Production from Pwani University and a Master’s degree in Animal Nutrition and Feed Safety Engineering from the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, where her research focused on the investigation of antimicrobial circulation across health domains using a One Health approach.
Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in Animal Biosciences at the University of Guelph under the mentorship of Professor Elijah Kiarie. Her research focuses on the development and validation of NIR spectroscopy calibrations for predicting standardized ileal digestibility of amino acids in broiler chickens and laying hens. My goal is to contribute to precision feeding strategies that improve nutrient utilization efficiency, reduce environmental waste, and support antibiotic-free production systems.
