Bayan Abu Hamdia is a Master of Science student in the Department of Animal Biosciences at the University of Guelph. She studies animal nutrition modeling and is interested in using computer models and data to understand how animals respond to changes in temperature, diet, and environment.
She completed her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science at the University of Guelph, where she learned about animal physiology, nutrition, and data analysis. Her past work has involved studying how diet and environmental conditions affect animal growth, feed efficiency, and overall health.
Bayan’s current research uses modeling to study the effects of heat stress on animal performance and metabolism. She hopes her work will help improve how nutrition and management decisions are made to support healthy and efficient livestock production.
