B.Sc.(H) in Animal Biology (University of Guelph, 2010-1014)
M.Sc. in Ruminant Nutrition (Advisors: Drs. Vern Osborne and John Cant, University of Guelph, 2014-2016)
Ph.D. in Companion Animal Nutrition (Advisor: Dr. Anna-Kate Shoveller, University of Guelph, 2016-2020)
Postdoctoral Fellow (Advisor: Dr. Anna-Kate Shoveller, University of Guelph, 2020-2022)
Adjunct Professor (Department of Animal Biosciences, University of Guelph, 2022-present)

My research to date has focused on the nutrition and metabolism of ruminant and monogastric animals, with an emphasis on companion animals. Following the completion of my undergraduate degree in Animal Biology at the University of Guelph, I worked collaboratively with the Food Science and Animal Science departments during my MSc where I developed a gel encapsulation technology to safeguard bioactive ingredients from rumen degradation, with the ultimate goal of mammary gland deposition. I then completed my PhD under the tutelage of Dr. Anna-Kate Shoveller where my research focused on investigating the effects of incremental conditioning and nutritional interventions on the metabolism, physical fitness, gut health, and behaviour of sled dogs. I most recently completed a 2 year Postdoctoral Fellowship where my research largely focused on indices of protein quality and how they can be applied practically in the pet food industry. Currently, I am a Companion Animal Nutritionist for Primal Pet Foods (Fairfield, CA, USA) and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Animal Biosciences at the University of Guelph.
