Physical Health

Gryphon Athletics The official athletics department of the university. Services offered include: fitness & recreation centres, clubs for a variety of sports, information on varsity athletics and games, individual & group fitness classes for a wide range of activities, personal physical training, and many more. Headquarters is the W. F. Mitchell Athletics Centre at the southeastern corner of campus.
Health & Performance Centre The on-campus physical rehabilitation centre. They specialize in diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of acute and chronic orthopedic, musculo-skeletal, sport and activity-related injuries.
Student Health Services The on-campus clinic is located at the J.T. Powell building. In addition to providing primary medical care to full-time and part-time, undergraduate and graduate students along with their families and visitors, SHS promotes comprehensive health as well as initiatives to prevent disease spread. Their website contains many resources in promoting health.
Wellness Centre Linked with Student Health Services, the Wellness Centre provides educational material for undergraduate and graduate students on campus regarding promotion of health and well-being. Peer-to-peer education is also provided, including drop-in consultations, interactive programming, and distribution of resources.

All counselling sessions are free of charge for registered students.

Counselling Services

Walk-in and by-appointment consultations with a professional counsellor are available for students dealing with mental illness or other personal challenges that may be interfering with one's studies or other areas of their lives. The University of Guelph and its organizations strive to maintain the institution as a place for higher learning and the academic success of its students.

Also offers: group therapy sessions.

Student Support Network This network run by extensively trained student volunteers offers drop-in peer support, including non-judgmental and confidential listening/support, as well as information and referrals. Services are offered in the Fall and Winter semesters. Headquarters are situated at the Raithby House at the centre of campus.
