One Health Funding Available for Faculty

The One Health Institute is now accepting applications from faculty to support three summer research opportunities for undergraduate or DVM students, as well as one graduate student research opportunity.

A) Undergraduate summer research studentships

Successful applicants will receive $9,500 as salary support for the summer semester. Applications will be accepted until Monday, January 15th.These awards include:

•  International Undergraduate Summer Research Studentship in One Health (1 opportunity) (https://uoguel.ph/zzgx0).

B) One Health Approach to Climate Change and Sustainability Award (https://uoguel.ph/vcbdv)

University of Guelph faculty are also eligible to apply for this award if they are supervising (or planning to supervise) a graduate student conducting One Health research. This award is intended to stimulate transdisciplinary collaborative academic activity between Colleges at the University of Guelph. It is specifically aimed at research that employs a One Health approach to further our understanding of climate change and its effects on health and the environment, including but not limited to mitigation of and adaptation to the climate crisis. The deadline for faculty expressions of interest is Monday, January 15th.
