After successful completion of a master's degree, Tanka joined Ph.D. in Dr. Elijah Kiarie’s lab where he is working to understand the nutritional approaches to optimize the bone quality of growing pullets and laying hens in different housing systems. Currently,  he is working on Calcium, Phosphorous and vitamin D dynamics on bone quality of laying hens. Eventually, the findings of his Ph.D. will support laying hen farmers and other related poultry industrialists to minimize losses due to bone fracture and poor bone quality, and will further add in poultry welfare.

Besides this, Mr. Khanal loves traveling, reading books and playing football. He is a huge fan of football.
