Alicia has always had a passion for working with animals, and a drive to learn. After graduating in the Spring of 2015 with an honours B.Sc. in Animal Biology from the University of Guelph, she decided to begin her coursework masters through the Ontario Agriculture College. She is currently working with advisor Dr. Vern Osborne, studying dairy cow and calf nutrition.

During her undergraduate studies, Alicia was the Co-President for the University of Guelph Animal Interest Network (UGAIN) for two consecutive years. She also volunteered at the Guelph Humane Society and East Village Animal Hospital in London Ontario. During her masters, she is currently volunteering to test methane emissions at the Elora Dairy Research Facility. She is also currently working as a milker and farm hand for Polsto Farms and Hoenhorst farms.

Outside of school and work, Alicia enjoys being part of an intramural dodgeball league, spending time with friends, training for half-marathons, and visiting home to see her dogs.
