
The ABSc IT team is running an IT Clean Week from May 25–29 to help clear out unused tech from offices, labs, and shared spaces.
What you can get rid of:
- Old or broken electronics (computers, monitors, printers, cables, etc.)
- Working equipment that you no longer need (others may reuse it)
- Anything you’re unsure about — we’ll test it
Two easy options:
1) Drop-off
Bring items to us (ANNU 018)
2) Pickup (easiest option)
Reply to this email with:
- Room number
- Which items to pick-up
- Photo (optional)
That’s it — you don’t need to be there. We have access to offices/labs; just clearly identify what should go.
Important:
- No need to test anything — we’ll handle that
- Don’t keep things “just in case” — if you don’t want it, we’ll take it
- Working items are welcome and may be reused internally
Friendly Competition!
We’ll track participation across research labs.
The lab that clears out the most items wins coffee + snacks for the team!
If something has been sitting around for a year (or a decade!), this is your moment.
