The Karrow lab is pleased to present a special guest seminar by Dr. Tomonori Nochi from Tohoku Universtiy.
Title: Identification of a novel B cell subset orchestrating gut–liver homeostasis in chickens
Speaker Biography:
Dr. Tomonori Nochi received his PhD in mucosal immunology from the Graduate School of Agricultural Science, Tohoku University, Japan, in 2005. He was affiliated with the Institute of Medical Science, The University of Tokyo from 2005 to 2009, and with the Center for AIDS Research at the University of North Carolina in the US from 2009 to 2013 as a postdoctoral fellow. He was appointed Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Agricultural Science, Tohoku University, and promoted to Full Professor in 2021. He has also served as Vice Director of the International Education and Research Center for Food and Agricultural Immunology (CFAI), Tohoku University, since 2019. His research has focused on mucosal immunology and microbiology in animals.
