Animal Welfare Science: an interdisciplinary journey to improve the lives of animals under human care

With this presentation, Dr. Alessia Diana will start introducing herself and presenting some of the interdisciplinary and cross-species research work (including farm, zoo and companion animals) she has been conducting over the past years. Then, she will discuss future directions and research ideas she would like to develop with the ultimate aim to (i) improve the well-being of animals under human care, (ii) advance the effectiveness and success of conservation management programs, and (iii) promote a ‘One Health, One Welfare’ approach for a more sustainable environment.
