Dr. Ellen Goddard of the University of Alberta will be giving a seminar entitled “Do we know that the public wants gene edited livestock products: A short history of Canadian public research on gene editing to remove horns from dairy cows and diseases from pigs.”
Dr. Goddard is an engaging speaker who gives a very unique perspective to this interesting topic. Her research interests include Co-operatives in agribusiness, Agricultural marketing, trade and policy, Consumer demand for foods in Canada, advertising, health and public policy, Impact of new technology use, regulation, producer behaviour, and public attitudes.
Dr. Goddard is the former Co-operative Chair in Agricultural Marketing and Business, she is Past President of the Canadian Agricultural Economics Society/Société Canadienne d’agroéconomie, and she is a Distinguished Fellow of the Canadian Agri-food Policy Institute.
