Microsoft Teams and ANNU 141
Good morning CGIL,
This week we are happy to have Larissa Braga, a doctoral student at the São Paulo State University in Brazil presenting for us on Friday, November 1st, 2024. The seminar will begin at 1:30 PM EDT/EST on the virtual platform Microsoft Teams. The presentation title is: “Copy number variants in Dairy Gir cattle”.
Speaker biography: Larissa Graciano Braga holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Goiás (2019), with an academic exchange at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral in Argentina. She completed a master's in animal Breeding and Genetics at São Paulo State University, Brazil (2021) and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Animal Science (Genetics and Animal Breeding) at the same institution. Her research experience centers on copy number variants, genomic variants, inbreeding, genetic diversity, selection signatures, and estimation of genetic parameters. She spent a year as a visiting research student at the University of Guelph, Canada (2023-2024).
