Aquaculture Research Projects
The Aquaculture Centre is currently
involved with a variety of collaborative research projects
that include:
- AQUASTATS – Ontario Aquacultural Production survey
since 1988.
- Projects in collaboration with the Ontario
Sustainable Aquaculture Working Group (OSAWG) including:
environmental issues, compost analysis, water monitoring
and waste management.
- In collaboration with government organizations
responsible for Ontario aquaculture, the development of
a “Decision Support Tool for Cage Aquaculture in
Ontario”.
- Environmental impact studies related to Ontario cage
aquaculture.
- Welfare and behavioural issues in aquaculture.
