Adrien’s passion for agriculture led him to move to Zurich where he attended the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETHZ). Once his bachelor degree was obtained in 2014, he began his master's studies with an exchange semester in Wageningen (NL) where he took courses of the European Master in Animal Breeding and Genetics.
Back in Switzerland, he worked and studied part-time. He worked as a student assistant in a genomics laboratory of the ETH and as an intern at Qualitas AG - the Swiss center of excellence for informatics and quantitative genetic for the Swiss Breeders association. His work experience benefitted him, as he could obtain his MSc in Agroecosystem Science with honours.
Adrien arrived in Guelph in January 2016 to begin a Ph.D. on the Genome Canada project supervised by Dr. Christine Baes and Dr. Filippo Miglior.
